Sunday Share: Cultivate Gratitude in Daily Life

In one of the books I am currently reading, the author shared the following insight:

“Seeing the positives in life is a muscle, a skill you can develop. It requires practice. Psychologist Sean Archor’s research on gratitude journals found that simply writing down 3 new things you're grateful for, every night for three weeks, will start to change the way your brain perceives the world. The exercise trains you to notice things you might have otherwise missed, like how wonderful it is to catch the bus right before it leaves or how good it feels to laugh with your coworker.”

This exercise is such an underutilized tip for changing your life. The simple act of jotting down a gratitude list every day can profoundly shift the way you perceive the world. It's like a workout for your positivity muscle, and the results of doing this daily are nothing short of transformative. You start to see the little things you have been missing, and it seems as though your days are filled with more beautiful occurrences and blessings. Call it the law of attraction at work or the lifting of the veil, but once you start practicing gratitude and formalizing this practice by writing it down, you'll keep finding more things to be grateful for in your life.

So, how can you incorporate this practice into your daily routine? It's as simple as taking a few moments each morning or evening to reflect on the positives of your day. Whether it's the delicious scent of your Immortelle Beauty body lotion that you slather on yourself in the morning or the warmth of a hug from a loved one, no moment is too small to appreciate.

As you continue this practice, you'll find yourself more attuned to the beauty and abundance that surrounds you. And before you know it, gratitude will become second nature, enriching every aspect of your life.

So, why not give it a try? Start tonight and see how quickly your perspective shifts. You may be surprised by the profound impact a little gratitude can have on your happiness and well-being.

Tonight, I decided to paint my list of what I am grateful for from my past weekend. What is something that you are grateful for today? Share in the comments below.
