My sister sent me a post on how you can make your year truly memorable. In the post, Jesse Itzler shared some insightful tips to enhance your life and make each year count. Check out these tips below and see how they can transform your life!
Tip #1 - Misogi: Have you ever heard of the Japanese ritual called misogi? It's all about doing one defining thing each year that you can reflect on with pride. Think about it – amidst the blur of daily life, wouldn't it be amazing to say, "In 2022, I launched a podcast" or "I quit smoking"? Make it a point to have one big accomplishment that will truly define your year.
Tip #2 – Kevin’s Rule: Kevin is the happiest guy Jesse knows, and he lives life to the fullest. He shared a rule that Jesse found truly inspiring. Kevin believes in doing something he wouldn't normally do every other month. Why? Because, as he puts it, those mini-adventures add up over time. If you are 40 now, by the time you are 80, you will have had 240 extra experiences that you created!
Tip #3 New Habits: Jesse suggests adding one new habit every quarter. Whether it's a daily 10-minute meditation practice or a commitment to never being late to a meeting, these small changes can lead to significant improvements over time.
Jesse shared that if you have adopted four new habits, embarked on six mini adventures, and tackled one major milestone and keep repeating this cycle year after year, you've won at life!
I found these tips to be not just insightful but also incredibly practical. They offer a systematic approach to self-improvement and life enhancement. I'm eager to implement these strategies into my own life, and I encourage you to do the same. Let's make this year – and every year after – truly remarkable!
Maybe because I'm a lot closer to 80 than 40 but I don't know if I want to have a major death defying adventure at all much less once a year! and I sure as hell would not have been going into that water!😀
